Basalt Fiber Woven Fabrics are advanced composite materials engineered from continuous basalt filaments, derived from natural volcanic basalt rock. These fabrics exhibit exceptional thermal stability (operating range: -260°C to 800°C), superior chemical resistance (acid/alkali/UV tolerance), and lightweight durability (20-30% lighter than fiberglass with equivalent strength).
Basalt rock is crushed and melted at 1,450-1,500°C using platinum-rhodium alloy bushings to produce continuous fibers (diameter: 5-25 µm).
Fibers are woven into plain, twill, or satin patterns using high-precision looms, adjustable for widths (1-3 m) and weights (100-2,126 g/m²).
Coated with silane or sizing agents to improve adhesion, UV resistance, and flexibility.
ISO 9001-certified testing for tensile strength (3,000-4,800 MPa), thermal stability, and corrosion resistance.
Avoid sharp tools or excessive bending during installation to prevent fiber breakage.
Resistant to most acids/alkalis but avoid prolonged contact with strong oxidizers (e.g., concentrated sulfuric acid).
Prevent rapid temperature shifts to avoid thermal shock cracking; use in dry conditions.
Store in ventilated, dry areas; avoid folding under tension to prevent creasing.
If damaged, cut damaged sections and splice using high-temperature adhesive or replace entire panels.
